Hundred Reasons

Legendary UK rock band Hundred Reasons bring their famously energetic live set to the Hevy Music Festival's main stage this summer.

The Surrey-based post hardcore rock quintet formed from the ashes of two local units, Jetpak and Floor. Their first four-track demo was championed by Kerrang! magazine, and a short-term contract with Fierce Panda Records led to the release of their debut EP in July 2000.

After contributing tracks to a number of compilations, the band signed a worldwide contract with Sony Records. EP 2 and 3 were released in August and December 2001 respectively, with the latter broaching the UK Top 40. The band then relocated to New York to record their first album with noted producer Dave Sardy. 'If I Could' and 'Silver' broke into the UK Top 20 prior to the release of the band's highly acclaimed debut album, 'Ideas Above Our Station', in May 2002.

After their second album released in 2004, 'Shatterproof Is Not A Challenge', the band moved to V2 Records, and their third album, 'Kill Your Own', was released in March 2006. With the addition of a new guitarist, the band's fourth album, 'Quick the Word, Sharp the Action', was originally released on October 15, 2007. However, less than a month after the album's release, V2 Records was purchased by Universal - leaving the band without a label. Re-released on 6th April 2009 through the band's own label PIAS, the reissued fourth album will feature four previously unreleased songs, 'Stalemate', 'Punctuality's Greatest Enemy', 'A Little Way Back' and 'The Prance'.
