SHARKS are a new British rock ‘n' roll group with absolute heart, that embellish their hardcore D.I.Y ethics with raw power of the soul. SHARKS believe in no trends, no scenes, only the path that they choose to go on. They set out to sound like themselves and themselves only, but with an appreciation of the things that influence them daily in their lives, whether it be musical or not. No cheap imitations, just honest emotion.
SHARKS will usually be found playing floor shows, houses and any venue that doesn't ban them after 15 minutes of pure renegade punk. Bloody fingers, bruises and a complete release of total angst and passion will be your typical SHARKS get-together. SHARKS have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Fucked Up, Boy Kill Boy, The Joy Formidable and have various festivals in place for the summer.
The SHARKS discography consists of one demo, recorded in Hammersmith a year ago and an as yet unreleased 5 track E.P titled ‘SHALLOW WATERS'. The band has had various tracks aired on radio 1 including unsigned track of of the week on Daniel Carterr Radio One rock show and demo of the week on the Steve Lamac show.
Their Musical influences range from the first wave of British Punk - Buzzcocks, The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers, to the Post-Punk and Hardcore scenes of the 80's - Joy Division, Husker Du, Black Flag - to any modern day band that has the balls to make good honest music.
SHARKS are merely a band that speaks their mind, keeping to their roots and emotions as honest as they can, never trying to compromise the reality of who they are for the short way round.
